The Völkerkunde?museum at the University of Zurich has outgrown its name. In 2026, the institution launched a participatory process to find a new one. This exhibition is part of that transition and invited visitors to consider more broadly what is at stake when names change.
At the opening, the Aina Rea Aliotta and Ekan Onaiwu initiated the evening with a critical text on the institutional renaming process.
