Three days of mourning, reconciliation and coming to terms with the death of a close relationship: mia nonna. Instead of celebrating christmas, I allowed my grief to take the place
it deserved, honoring our intimate relationship. The layout of her apartment was rebuilt, of bricks from her garden, in which I then reinacted our most intimate religous and familiar sicilian rituals. The inherited cloths, pottery vessels, candles and christian heirlooms used during the Reenactement as part of the performance remained on view in the installation during the exhibition at the Galerie Durchgang in Basel.
